The ‘International Institute of Music, Speech & Drama’ was established in 2002 as an independent, progressive, flexible, and friendly examining body. Whilst manifesting steady growth in the field of Music, Speech, and Drama, they constantly endeavor to introduce new techniques of teaching methodologies to international standards.
The Institute takes great pride in enhancing the quality of English study for students from various parts of the island and molds them into individuals with a profound knowledge of the English language enabling them to articulate with ease and confidence.
The Institute conducts examinations at many centers on the island giving equal opportunity to students from diverse areas. Thus, the reputation of the Institute has now spread far beyond the city in which it began. The choice in curriculum facilitates teachers to develop the skills in their students in the areas of Music, Speech & Drama, Spoken English, General English & Oral Communication for all Grades and Diploma levels.
The speech & Drama Grade & Teaching Diploma Syllabus has been approved by the Society of Teachers of Speech & Drama (STSD) in the UK. LIIMSD Teacher’s Diploma has been accepted for full STSD Membership. Examinations will be held once a year examined by an Examiner of a Foreign Examination Board.
